Great little handgun!...
Great little handgun! I was looking to upgrade my wife from her Ruger 380. I love the quality and fitment of Kimber. Overall she loves it. The added weight of being all metal makes 9mm recoil extremely manageable. Since this is a micro 1911 the ergonomics are perfect and this raptor model is a looker too so you can carry in style. I know it's hers but I'll be carrying it to when I need something small and low profile. If you have bigger hands definitely pick up a couple of their 8 round mags for a full grip. Thanks Buds! Overall the pistol is...
Overall the pistol is wonderful, built with quality material and feels nice in my hand. Shooters with smaller hands will enjoy its feel. Shooting is accurate with no malfunctions (keeping a tight grip helps). I was able to hit water bottles out to 20 yards. The magazine extension really helps with gripping the pistol, the extra weight of the metal also helps with the recoil and follow on shots. The trigger is crisp, a bit heavy but very nice to shot, but a good feature for a conceal pistol. Slide serrations are grippy and work well too. The grips don't seem to be made of wood but some sort of plastic. My kit only came with one 7 round magazine so I bought extra off eBay. Try not to get the Hogue magazine extensions it doesn't feel right with the pistol grip. The size is comparable to the Sig P365 just with an alloy frame and old school cool looks and feel. I would recommend the pistol and would buy additional Kimber Micro 9s to add to my collection of quality pistols.
