I just received my...
I just received my beautiful new Kimber Rapide Dawn, and she is a beauty! But that is just looks, not mechanics or engineering. I cannot shoot it yet because I already have an issue. I like to clean my guns before shooting, and in taking down this gun I find that I am unable to remove the barrel bushing. It is really stuck on there! I mean seriously!! Unfortunately, I can't call Kimber until Tuesday due to the long Labor Day holiday weekend. Tuesday I will call and hope they can tell me some trick to get the bushing out so I can remove the barrel and give her a good cleaning. I have a feeling it will have to back to Kimber. I've never encountered a problem removing a barrel bushing before. This does not bode well for this Kimber! I hope I did not purchase an expensive door stop!! I will only give this a single star for now because it is pretty. Bud's did a great job getting it to me, but Kimber let go of a flawed product! Unfortunately, I purchased that flawed product!! If Kimber can remedy the problem I will reevaluate at that time.
