As always Buds was great, As for Kimber, not so good. This is a "Custom Shop" model that is suppose to be a high quality firearm. Out of the box nothing but 3 point jams. After further inspection, The extractor is a cheap MIM stamped part that was way out of spec. I can say that I really doubt this was even test fired at the factory. The ONE 9 round magazine that it comes with is absolute garbage. The sear spring was so out of tune it would hang the slide while going into battery. So if you want this firearm to run as it should: step 1. throw the supplied magazine in the trash & purchase Wilson Combat ETM 10 round magazines. step 2. Throw the factory extractor in the trash & replace with a Wilson Combat bulletproof extractor. step 3. remove the mainspring housing & sear spring. Polish sear spring & disconnector faces to interact smoothly(and correctly). This firearm was just thrown together with parts. There was absolutely no hand fitting or tuning of this pistol. So as for a "Custom Shop" firearm, All you are paying for is some fancy checkering & a cool name. I own several Kimber's and have never seen such bad workmanship. It sure looks cool though.
