Rock Island Armory’s Rock Standard Optic is built on the classic Series 70 1911 platform with a 5 in button-rifled barrel and a .45 ACP chamber for dependable, proven performance. The slide features double-wide slant serrations and a traditional roll-over ejection port, while the stainless slide and frame are paired with matte chrome SAE 4140 high-grade steel components and Parkerized internal parts. Designed for fast handling, this full-size pistol is delivered ready for optic use with iron sights up front and rear, plus factory safety features and comfortable double diamond checkered wood grips.

I was really looking...
I was really looking forward to this 1911. I picked it because it already had an optic. However, this is the cheapest optic I have ever seen. It has no buttons to adjust red dot strength or even turn it on/off. I can't find any information about this thing. You will also need to remove it to change the battery, which I am assuming it will need soon since I can't turn it off. The gun itself seems good. Very disappointed in the optic.

I have owned a few RIA...
I have owned a few RIA products but this is my first handgun. I have a few Springfield 1911's but wanted to have one with an optic. As a previous reviewer had mentioned, it's cheaper to purchase this than to convert one. I already had an Osight so I removed the original sight and started with it. Also had some Pachmyer grips to replace the plastic ones. BTW the original grips are not wood. I've got 200 rounds through it and the only issue I have is that the front dot on the suppressor height sight came out (now a 2 dot). So far seems to be a good shooter for the money.
