All Ruger American Pistols chambered in 9mm with serial number prefixes "860" and "862" are subject to this Safety Bulletin and should be inspected. (Buds may or likely may not be willing to check this Serial Number range for you). Ruger will resolve the issue in about a week at no charge to owners in any event.
