The fit and finish on...
The fit and finish on this 1911 is flawless. I have owned several S&W 1911s for many years, but this is a step above. I became loyal to the brand because of the external extractor that has not failed once on my previous models while I use a vast variety of ammo at the range because I am trying to keep the costs down. This is why this is the first time I have bought one fitted by their Performance Center. All I can say is that it is worth every penny and more. The fit between the slide and rail is exact. It took around 50 rounds breaking it in to make it easy to rack. Just like seasoning a cast iron pan. Once that was done, it is smooth as silk and will be my everyday carry from this point forward. It does kick a little more than my SW1911 with light rail, but it weighs over 11 ounces less. It does not come with night sights, which would have been a nice addition, so I added a pair of Trijicon through my gunsmith. Another thing to know is that it is louder. It may be from the lightening cuts, but that is only a guess. Well, I guess when you are using it for an EDC, you want to put the fear of God in them anyway!

I have approximately 550 rounds through the Smith & Wesson 1911 pc 45 without any malfunctions whatsoever. Accuracy has been very good, the gun seems point-and-shoot just great definitely worth the money.

Really nice pistol,...
Really nice pistol, but at this price, it should have come with night sights. Also thought the black and brown grips were ugly, and replaced them with black and grey ones. It looks much better with the new grips.
