This was my first purchase from Bud's and I was pretty impressed the the speed of the transaction from start to finish. Now to the firearm. This, like most Sig Sauer products, is a prime example of what gave the company its reputation for quality, precision and performance. This 1911 isn't a true 1911 the way John Browning had made it. Sig has taken this well known design and tweaked it into a more modern pistol. Night sights are always a plus in my opinion, but the main mechanical differences that I see are the series 80 assembly and the exterior extractor claw. The series 80 gives you another level of safety and Sig has tuned the trigger so that it is still smooth with a super clean break. The extractor claw I have noticed helps keep brass from hitting you in the face or head. The finish of this model with the gray slide is really well done as well. I love how tactile the grips and checkering are and some may not. It is very rough. If I had to say something bad about it, I guess it would have to be the serrated trigger. It seems to make my trigger finger numb after 150 rounds or so. All in all this is a true winner in my book. Oh and I read somewhere that Sig only made ~350-400 of these so get them while you can.
