Most manufacturers including S&W make firearm packages that have 10rd magazines so their pistols can also be sold in state that have magazine capacity restrictions. The pistols are exactly the same but just have 10rd mags included. The pistols will also accept any standard capacity magazines just fine.

A: yes the 15 round mags will work just fine. The 10 round mags at the same magazine modified so they only hold 10 rounds

A: Daniel, yes, the 10rd Magazines are the same physical size as the 17rd Magazines. The 10rd Mags are just internally blocked to only hold 10rds so the pistol can be sold in mag capacity restricted states. The Pistol will accept both equally well.
