I bought the S&W M&P9...
I bought the S&W M&P9 8 years ago for my son on his 40th birthday. We enjoy going to the range with it. He maintains it well and after roughly 10000 rounds it still functions perfectly. The grip is very comfortable and the trigger pull is good with a decent reset. I reload 9mm rounds (among others) and this pistol is very forgiving, even if the loads are lighter than the OEM rounds. Failure to feed and stove pipes are EXTREMELY rare. It's easy to clean and take down, We normally shoot between 15 and 30 yards.This pistol is very accurate. I cut my teeth on at 1911 which was too loose to hit anything (I'm an old Marine Vietnam vet). I own a SIG P226 which I love firing and the M&P fires equally well sometimes better. When I pick up this pistol it just feels right and works right. My 16 year old Grandson loves it and fires it very well. I don't know if they still make this pistol, but if you're thinking about it, just buy it. Buds was very easy to do business with and I trust them. They shipped it to my FFL very quickly in perfect condition.
