What can I say? I live...
What can I say? I live in Lexington and got 1/2hr. free range time at Bud's when I bought the TRP Operator so I took it over there to "break it in". After I put 5 or 6 rounds in about a 6" or 7" circle at 10 yards getting the feel of the pistol I settled down and tried to see what it could do. It turned out that "what it could do" was put round after round in a ragged hole in the center of the target all the way out to 20 yards (as far as I went). It got boringly easy after a while. No hiccups, no FTEs, no FTFs. Nothing except functioning flawlessly magazine after magazine no matter what brand or bullet I loaded. Additionally, the fit and finish of the gun is as good as anything I've seen in a 1911 (and I've owned many 1911s). This may seem like a lot of money for a pistol but when I got home after my most recent range session with the TRP I told my wife that, "if I ever have to bet my life on a gun I hope it's as good as this one!"

Once again Buds does...
Once again Buds does not disappoint! I just bought the best 1911 I've ever owned. Delivered to my FFL in only a few days. Springfield manufacturing and tolerances are very tight. Fit and finish are flawless. Only put 100 rounds (of reloaded 185gr SWC) with absolutely NO problems. Extremely accurate right out of the box. And to top it off, Springfield threw in 4 mags, a mag holder and holster with their special promotion. Applying for the extras could not have been easier, no cutting UPC labels and mailing it in. Just register your firearm and fill out a simple online form. My goodies came in less than two weeks!

It took 7 days to...
It took 7 days to receive the firearm. It came In perfect condition with everything that was supposed to come with the weapon. The first two shots with this 1911 went through the same hole literally. I'm convinced that this is a custom gun there is no movement in the slide at all everything feels hand fit. And if you don't want the bull barrel its set up to be converted to a standard barrel an bushing configuration. Short clean trigger break, and probably the best reset that is possible for a smith to achieve. I've put 200 rounds through it so far with no malfunctions. If you like 1911s you will like this firearm. Even though this firearm comes with a tool to take it down it's more convenient to modify a paper clip. There are guide rods out there that solve this issue, but I like the way it comes.
