Gun felt great in my...
Gun felt great in my hand and was reliable as far as I recall, but I normally test a few different kinds of hollowpoints to see what the gun likes best and anything more powerful than Winchester white box ball ammo felt like it was damaging the gun. I never used any P ammo, but every magazine of federal HST or Remington golden saber I put through it made the made the gun a little more loose, like the slide was beating itself to death. It didn't take 1000 rounds before I didn't really feel safe carrying it, and yea I'm sure if you ever put an actual P round in it you could expect spontaneous disassembly, it just wasn't that sturdy of a firearm. Turns out there was a recall on it, after enough wear and tear the guns could fire just by shaking them even with the safety on. I completely believe that, and I don't think it really mattered what type of ammo you used, they just weren't built to last and after enough rounds everything inside gets sloppy. If you have one of these, definitely send it back to have it checked, they are still honoring the warranty even though the recall is over. Gun would definitely get 5 stars from me if it were made to last, but if I have to send it back for a safety issue like that, they can keep it.

Normally, I'm a S&W...
Normally, I'm a S&W snob, but this Taurus is a big time, full-featured high capacity big bore in a compact package with a small price tag. Love the thumb safety/de-cocker and the finger/thumb index points on the frame. I've shot and carried this gun for a little more than a year now - ZERO issues (lswc, fmj, jhp, and 230g Cor-Bon DPX). It's not a bullseye gun or a pocket pistol, but it makes a big hole where you point it and it's easy to conceal on or in waist band.
