Buds was not only had...
Buds was not only had this stainless 605 with a 3 inch barrel in stock but had the best price. I love this little gun and have run more than 800 of all types of ammo through it without the slightest problem. I changed to a Hogue grip and now .357 rounds is very manageable. A great home defense gun and I am very satisfied.

This was my second...
This was my second Taurus from Buds Guns. Buds Guns are great to deal with, no problem with their service, and fast shipping. I took this gun to the range the second day after purchasing it, fired 2 rounds of 38 special wadcutters through it, and cylinder would hang and could not fire it again because cylinder would not rotate with ammo in it. It would rotate fine without ammo in it. I called Taurus, they scheduled a FedEx pick up the very next day at no cost to me, I explained the problem in a letter I sent along with the gun. I received it back within 3 weeks, the paper stated that they adjusted the gun, took it to the range, problem not fixed. Naturally by now, I am not happy with Taurus and told them so on the phone. I asked the lady that I spoke with on the phone if they even fired the gun and she stated that the records showed that 15 rounds of Winchester 357 ammo were fired through it, which I was in doubt of. They scheduled another next day FedEx pick up, with no charge to me. Again sent a much longer and not as polite letter along with the gun.. Received it back again within 3 weeks, and this time the paper they included with it stated a defective part was replaced, but didn't say what part was replaced. This time it was fixed. I really like the gun now that it is fixed, just the hassel of having to ship it back two times before it was fixed wasn't fun. I will say that Taurus didn't charge me a single penny for anything, and the turn around was fast both times. I normally shoot 38 special wadcutters in it at the range, but also shoot 357 and it is a pretty accurate gun.

This gun surprised me...
This gun surprised me in that it is better than I thought it would be. Very pleasant to shoot with everything from mild 38 Spl. wadcutters up throught 125 gr. 357 Magnums. It is controllable, but not great fun with 158 gr. magnum loads, and a handful with hot 170 gr. magnums, but all that is better than I expected from a small 3" 5-shot 357 revolver. Sub 3" groups from 25 yards were the norm, and that is pretty good from me anymore with anything but a 22 semiauto. I am sure a good shooter could do lots better. The action was smooth, if a little stiff, and an open action cleaning showed no burrs or trash or other bad points. This matched the outside which had a nice even matte finish. I switched the springs to Wolff, and now it is a pure dream both single and double action, and every primer still had a nice deep centered hit. I missed getting one of these from Taurus when they made them in the '90s, and I am glad I got the chance to remedy that now. I definitely like this revolver better than my one daughter's Smith 60, and it is much handier than the other daughter's Ladysmith.
