I received my compact...
I received my compact 24/7 40cal a couple days ago. Today I was off to the range ( be advised that the compact comes with the extended mag but still only holds 10 rounds, not like the picture) to shoot my gun. After 250 plus rounds the gun failed to extract one round ( could have been the shell ) other than that the weapon was flawless. It shot extremely smooth with little recoil. It was actually surprising how well it preformed. I was experimenting with different weight and velocity rounds to try and find the bullet of choice for the gun. However I was never able to pin it down, it seemed to favor the 180grn with a low velocity the most. The grouping of the rounds was not really what I normally shoot but some of that maybe because it was my first time to shoot this weapon. The gun seems to be very well made and I look forward to shooting it again to try and pull the group in tighter...........melvin

This is a great carry...
This is a great carry weapon. I took it to the range right after transferring from a local FFL. I didn't clean it and used cheap JHP rounds. After 50 rounds it never skipped a beat, never a jam with no problems at all. The first 10 rounds were a little off target but once I got used to it I hit within bulls eyes every time from 30 yards. The 40 cal is really not a bad recoil. More of a "push" than a barrel lifting snap some light pistols have. It is subject to "limp wristing" so you have to hang on to it when you fire, which is only common sense. I am extremely happy with it and carry it in a Fobus holster. I am glad for the safety lever but no longer use it since it would require an extra step to be ready. As safe as any DAO auto without it.
