The Tisas Night Stalker is a full-size 1911 pistol chambered in 10mm with a factory Picatinny rail and a feature-focused build. It combines a forged frame and slide with a cold hammer forged barrel for durability and accuracy, and it’s equipped with an ambidextrous manual safety, skeletonized hammer, SF trigger, and an extended beavertail grip safety. I picked up the pistol...
I picked up the pistol from my FFL and it looked great. I got the pistol home and disassembled it. The bluing on the outside of the guide rod plug was completely worn off down to the bare metal. So, I'll be replacing that with an aftermarket one. I also noticed that the Tritium Front Sight had absolutely no illumination, even in complete darkness. For anyone interested, the grip bushings on the pistol are for slim grips and they're also Cerakoted into the frame. I put on a Hogue grip and the grip screws that were already on the pistol would not reach. I got some longer Hogue grip screws and they stripped out (cheap metal) just screwing them in. So, I got a set of Nighthawk Custom grip screws and bushings. Those grip screws were long enough and of a much stronger metal than the Hogue grip screws that I didn't have to change out the grip bushings. The Nighthawk Custom grip bushings are taller than the one's already on the pistol. I am anxiously awaiting to get the slide back from Tisas, then I'll go out and blast the Hornady 155 Grain XTP ammo I got from Buds for a great price. Having 1911s from Springfield, Colt, and Sig, this D10 Night Stalker is one of the best bang for your buck deals. I'll be using mine in grizzly bear country, so there's no need for me to have a light/competition trigger. The trigger is good as is for my everyday application. The safety is very positive and the material is strong, the extension of the safety that hovers over the plunger tube doesn't slightly flex under the pressure of your thumb. The lockup of the slide is good and the slide release does its job. If you want to swap out any springs (i.e. recoil, mainspring, firing pin spring), all of the info is on Tisas' website. There's other spec info on their website for any other aftermarket mods you may want to do.

I purchased this Tisas 1911 Night Stalker in 10mm from Bud's in Lexington KY. This pistol has performed beyond my expectations. It has good balance, the sights are dead on right out of the box, the slide action is smooth as silk. I ran a box of 50 180gr FMJ thru it and all rounds cycled flawlessly. The Tisas Night Stalker is a great looking gun. Bud's has great prices and service, fast shipping, and knowledgeable people that a very helpful. Great pistol, I was a little hesitant on the aluminum grips that came with the Night Stalker but they are very comfortable, I will not be changing them out. Pistol functions great with both 40S&W and 10mm. Recoil was light on 10mm. Would recommend this pistol. Buds was great as usual.
