I've owned two...
I've owned two Traditions Rawhide in 45 Colt for four months and have fired around 300 rounds through each. Bottom line up front: They handle great & are fun to shoot, but I'm very unsatisfied with the manufacturers quality control.\\r\ \\r\ The pros: They are very handsome revolvers with the mat black finish paired with the dark wood handles. Fit & finish is good, with a nice balance when aiming & a comfortable when firing. After breaking them in, the disassemble for cleaning easily, cartridges slide in easily, & the cases fall out without needing to use the ejecting rod more often than not. I've found them to have good precision & accuracy out to 30 yards (I've not tried farther).\\r\ \\r\ The cons: \\r\ One of my revolvers already broke its transfer bar & while I was emptying the cylinder it seized up (thankfully with last cartridge in a position for me to remove it). I couldn't even remove the cylinder pin to see if the latter problem would be an easy fix or lower the hammer from the half-cocked position; all totally locked-up. Traditions Firearms allowed me to send it back for repair under warranty & I'm waiting for its return.\\r\ \\r\ Shortly after the first revolver had the above problem, a screw fell out of my second revolver while firing during a later range session. As I has consecutive serial numbers, I was concerned that it may mean there was a problem on their line during their construction. When I contacted Traditions Firearms, they declined to inspect it under warranty claiming it was normal & told me to just add Loctite & tighten the screws. When I took a screwdriver to it I found EVERY SCREW at least a little loose, anywhere between 1/8 of a turn to over a full turn.\\r\ \\r\ Summary: While I seriously enjoyed the revolvers & the manufacture offered prompt support for the broken/seized one, I'm concerned that both of mine required some level of repair so quickly (another pistol I've had for 6 months has fired almost 1000 rounds without a single problem). It also concerns be that Traditions considers it normal for the screws to come lose when using manufactured cowboy cartridges. If you don't shoot them as much as I've been, you'll probably be more satisfied with purchasing them than I am now. I'll give them 3/5: 2 for well shooting fun & 1 for making the warranty repair process easy.

Bought this firearm...
Bought this firearm for target shooting and hunting. I was not sure what to expect given the price point but it is well made and accurate. It was a good purchase for both price and quality and not to forget the fun factor either. It is a blast to shoot. I would recommend this as an intro to big bore SA handguns for anyone I know. The finish is matte black and perfect for hunting no glare on the frame or sights. Oh and did I mention it is a blast to shoot. Total fun fun fun. Buds as always excellent service.

I am very happy and...
I am very happy and impressed with the traditions rawhide in .45lc! I was afraid that for the price I would receive something that rattled and felt cheap. I expected the matte finish to be ugly, and I was very wrong. This is a very handsome firearm! The weapon is put together very well, nothing rattles, the trigger is crisp and light, the hammer cocks and decocks easily. It is my first single action revolver, and I am extremely happy with it. After I wiped off the packing grease I put six rounds through it. At 5 yards shooting one handed all six were grouped inside of 3" but three were right on top of each other in the very center of the target. I really could not be happier with my purchase.
