The Walther P99 Anti-Stress Mode pistol combines a traditional double-action style operating feel with Walther’s anti-stress trigger system for the first shot. When you rack the slide fully to the rear for loading, the trigger stays forward for the first trigger pull, increasing resistance to unintentional reflex firing in high-stress situations. The P99 AS uses a decocking button for safe striker decocking and features fixed 3-dot sights for quick target acquisition.

My third walther...
My third walther purchase and won't be my last. Great striker fired polymer pistol with classic double single action with a decocker. Single action trigger is smooth and light. Fit and finish are perfect as expected from walther. Shot about 500 rounds so far not a single malfunction. Grip was a little slippery but a set of talon grips remedied that easily. (Seems to be most of my pistols end up with talon grips). Overall a great buy at a decent price and I'm not disappointed in the slightest. Honestly if your debating whether or not to purchase a p99 or any other walther stop hesitating and just do it because you won't regret it at all.
