Q: I just purchased the M1A Socom CQB and it already has this pic rail. What is the benefit of this rail over the stock rail on the rifle?

A: If you already have a rail attached wouldn't worry about buying one of these. Looks like it extends the rail back a little further than the original picatinny rail but that's it. Hope this helps.
