Description
Product Overview
The Chiappa Rhino 200D is a distinctive .357 Magnum revolver engineered to manage recoil by lowering the bore axis closer to the shooter’s hand. Its enclosed firing system and snag-resistant cocking design contribute to a clean, modern revolver feel, while the lightweight aluminum components and shrouded barrel profile make it practical for everyday carry. This 2-inch black model features an easy-to-see fiber optic front sight and a compact, low-profile form factor.
Key Features
- Accessory rail setup on the barrel shroud supports mounting lights or lasers
- 2-inch compact barrel for carry-friendly handling
- Enclosed firing mechanism can be fired in double-action operation
- Fiber optic front sight for quick target acquisition
- Bottom-of-cylinder firing geometry helps reduce muzzle rise for improved follow-up shots
If you’re looking for a compact .357 Magnum revolver with modern ergonomics and a reduced-muzzle-rise design, the Chiappa Rhino 200D is built to stand out.

This is thee First 'Snub-nose' of ANY Kind I've Ever considered owning. Plus 'Chiappa's Unique Style, and 'Performance' was what caught my eye to begin with. The 'Science' of the 6 O'clock Cylinder configuration, and the Lack of 'Muzzle' flip.......AND with 'It's' being a .357 Magnum [My FAVORITE Round since the '70's] is what made me a Believer in Thee Rhino.

I have had this revolver for awhile now and I absolutely love it. I have a concealed weapons permit and I have it in my purse or I wear it in a kydex iwb holster at all times. It shoots smoothly and accurately with hardly any recoil. Very happy with my purchase. Barbara K

Nothing I can say in a...
Nothing I can say in a written review will do this pistol justice. I've been shooting for a number of years and have always been partial to wheelguns for their simplicity of operation and reliability. My only gripe with most small snubbies is most are only 5 rounds and the muzzle flip is typically pretty bad making them less that comfortable to shoot. These problems do not exist with the Chiappa Rhino. The Rhino is a 6 shot with no appreciable difference in size from other small revolvers thanks to it's flat sided cylinder. The extra round is nice, but what about that muzzle flip. Well...just go shoot one. The bottom firing barrel thing is not marketing hype or a gimmick. It works! Shooting .38 Special is drama free and even a 158 grain full load .357 Magnum is not uncomfortable to shoot. It's snappy as it's still a small, light gun...but the rubber grip combined with the low bore axis makes very reasonable felt recoil.\r \r Now I hear you, "It's too expensive" and yeah, maybe it is. But here's what you have to think about. Are you going to go to the range and shoot a carry revolver that you don't enjoy shooting? If not, you may not be proficient enough if you ever have to use it in a self defense situation. The Rhino is actually very fun to shoot. One of my favorite guns to put lead down range with. It's nothing to shoot 100 rounds or more through it in one range visit. Your hand won't hurt. You're wrist won't hurt. It's just a pleasure to shoot. I have a .380 that is harder on my hands than shooting .357 Mag through the Rhino. \r \r To sweeten the deal, the Rhino is milled for moon clips and comes with a package of three. I do put some of my defense ammo through the gun for practice, but when I go to the range to shoot, or when I dry fire practice at home, it's really convenient to just pop the expensive defense ammo out in the moon clip. I also have several moon clips loaded in various places. They are a considerably faster reload than even speed loaders (and I have some of those too). \r \r Lastly, the double action trigger is the best I've ever used. Smooth and progressive, but a great safety feature as you have to deliberately pull it to fire. You won't see any accidental discharges unless you do something unsafe.
