I love my 1851...
I love my 1851 Richards Mason. It shoots great with 38 special and 38 Short Colt. 38 Short Colt is a lot of fun with it. I hope they get more with the 4.75 inch barrel back in stock soon so I can get another one and have a pair.

Nice gun. It is not as...
Nice gun. It is not as pretty as the one in the picture. (Also the gun pictured is a 7.5 inch, not 5.5 inch. The wedge is a little tricky to adjust right but the Cimmaron video on that is helpful. Also the cylinder is a little tight on one chamber only when rotating, so I had to adjust barrel slightly looser than I'd like with the wedge for smooth rotation. Also I have to point it down a little when cocking or the .38 special case rims will come out a little and not allow the cylinder to rotate. I guess that must be normal. All in all it is still a very nice gun and fun to shoot.
