Bud's Guns is the absolute best place to buy any firearm you're looking for, bar none. I've purchased every handgun I currently own from them and will continue to do so. Their staff, service, & customer care is outstanding. The Cimarron Frontier Model PP4501 is a highly polished 5 1/2" stainless steel version of the blued & case hardened Frontier model manufactured by Pietta of Italy. It's as close to owning a Colt SA as you'll get without paying the price. The firing pin is on the hammer, there's no safety transfer bar, it uses a flat traditional mainspring, and there are no conture changes to the design such as oversizing the frame or the cylinder; in short, it's a direct Colt copy. In addition, this is a factory tuned gun, as is it's 4 3/4" brother, the PP4500. Having owned Colt SAs 30yrs ago, I was extremely impressed with the fit, finish, and tight tolerances of the Pietta model. Personally, I find them superior to the Uberti models I have looked at and was surprised to find that the internals are stainless steel as well which means longer life and fewer breakdowns. If you're into Cowboy Fast Draw and/or Cowboy Action Shooting, this is the gun for you.
