This gun was listed as blemished, however, I have yet to find the blemish on the exposed surface of the gun. The unfluted cylinder gives this python the approximate weight of a python with a 4.25" barrel, so not a lightweight piece, even though it has a 3" barrel. The gun is very solid in build and feel. While perhaps sacrilegious to say, I think the new Pythons in general are more robust than the original versions, and I think the new models can compare to SW 686's in ruggedness shooting steady .357's. The grips are thick, but are shorter, so you can't get a full grip. Also, the grip seemed to be sharp along its edges, and overall recoil absorption was not as good as I would have expected. I substituted full size Hogue Goncalo grips made for the Python, and the feel is much better. The trigger pull is even with little stacking. All in all a pleasant gun to shoot, even with .357's. The finish is a nice polished stainless, that seems to clean up easier than matte finished stainless.

What a revolver! Took...
What a revolver! Took it to the range on Tuesday for initial test fire. I am in awe! It is a little heavy, but it tames the recoil of the 357 mag. Felt like shooting lite 38's. Very happy with this purchase. Buds was easy to work with and quick with responses and shipping. Thanks,

colt has really reached perfection with the new pythons and this one may be the best of the bunch. The trigger is awesome in both single and double action. the finish is flawless. Can't find the blem. I love my older smiths and Rugers but this sucker is on a different level. No mim parts! Old school quality.
