This is a fun and well...
This is a fun and well made gun, especially for an inexpensive 22. The action is smooth. The trigger breaks clean, and it's easy to pick up the fiber optic sight. This is the cheapest DA/SA 22 revolver I could find that looked like a defensive handgun. It's actually fairly hard to find anything like this that also has adjustable rear sights and doesn't cost a fortune.

If I could give 4.5...
If I could give 4.5 stars I would have. This gun feels and shoots fine and is a good bargain. The finish is good (not great). The cylinder had noticeable burs on the back out of the box. This did not affect operation but it speaks for the workmanship. The elevation was off pretty far when I got it but easily adjusted in. I wish they hadn't decided to stamp the word "plinker" in gold on the side but that was in the photos. The fiber optic sight is nice. I've put a good amount (400 or so) of rounds through it with pretty good success. CCI Blazer, CCI MiniMag, Tula, Eley all worked fine but Amscor fouls the gun quickly making the brass hard to eject. At one point after shooting the dirty ammo it quit locking up so I had to do a total tear down and clean. (I blame the ammo) The grip is too small for my big hands. No one makes a grip for this gun that I could find. (the Pachmayr made for small frame Rossi's does not fit.) The Taurus safety key serves no purpose for me. Summary: This is not a Smith or Ruger, but it's not priced that way. It's a good value and solid, pretty well built gun.

The Rossi arrived at...
The Rossi arrived at my local range / dealer today and I have already put 200 rounds of Federal Target and some Winchester through it. Nice thing about a revolver is they shoot everything. This one is no exception. No problems. I have been trying to find one of these since that were introduced at the SHOT show in 2012. After many months of searching, I finally found one and Buds had it. I wanted the 4 inch version and they are scarce. So, what do I think? It is really good. Problems are trigger and hammer are a little gritty. I will fix that. One cylinder bore is a little tighter than the rest. The site's are so so. The front fiber optic is great. The adjustable rear is just so so. There are no real detents and the adjustments are loose. I will add a Burris Fastfire to it. That will cure the site issue. That will require drilling and tapping the frame which is not a problem for me. Now the good. The finish is great. The overall appearance is great. The full underlug is great. Adds considerable heft to the gun. It groups!! Boy does it group! Very nice barrel, The grips are a little small for my gigantic hands, but they are also great. The recoil is NONE. The trigger is wide and smooth. The hammer is wide and checkered. I have a Rossi 357 Model 972 that is a wonderful gun. I have added a DOT to it and I love shooting it. This 22 is not as nice as that, but it is nice in its own right. I think it is a great deal for the price. A few mods here and there and I am sure it will be a great shooter. I really like Rossi's and Buds! I would buy another Rossi, and I may! Thanks.
