I live in Big Black...
I live in Big Black Bear country along the Canadian border and they are a nearly daily visitor. The Ruger GP100 5" .357 Magnum loaded with Grizzly Cartridge Company's 200gr WLNGC is potent poison for any brawny bruin who chooses to tangle. Fit & finish is 5 Star and we are easily 6 for 6 in the center ring at 15 yards single action and 4/6 double action and breathing hard. Carried in a Diamond Outdoor Denali Chest Holster, the only change I made was a big green Tritium front site and two red dots on the adjustable rear. Got 9/12 @50 yards on the FBI Man target after slinging a few a adjusting the rear right 2 clicks. The 5" GP100 .357 Magnum from Ruger is my choice of force for Black Bear holler.
