A: yes it is a very good revolver the recoil on it is not bad because it has enough weight. with lighter 44 mag and 44 special rounds it can be a joy to shoot some of the really heavy loads and become unpleasant

A: The Taurus Raging Bull series revolvers are built like tanks and well balanced. The additional heft of this pistol will help with recoil and the grip material and contour will aid to further reduce felt recoil as well. It is good to go for even heavy hunting loads.

A: This gun comes with factory muzzle break that should reduce muzzle flip and felt recoil. And you can always shoot the much lighter .44 Specials for practice. And yes these seem to be strong, well made guns.
