Had a Dan Wesson 6"...
Had a Dan Wesson 6" stainless .357 years ago and have always regretted parting with it. The Taurus gets good reviews and the price was right. It's always great shopping at Bud's!

The M65 is a Taurus...
The M65 is a Taurus mainstay. Tried and tested over the years by the general public as well as military and police from around the world & it's design left fairly unchanged. My sample was no exception. I thoroughly inspected the revolver prior to accepting it:Timing, cylinder to barrel alignment, straight barrel not canted, tight frame to Yoke alignment, no cylinder end play, forcing cone Gap good. The only noticeable anomaly was the cylinder/yoke opened a little stiff. Definitely not a deal breaker. Another benefit to this model is counterintuitive. The cylinder is roughly the same circumference as it's big brother the M66. It is six rounds instead of the seven on the M66. That means the mass between the cylinder chambers is nice and beefy. Very desirable is you're shooting hot Magnum loads. You are lacking the adjustable sights on this model but as long as your barrels lined up straight with the frame you can put a little paint on the front sight. The tight crane or yoke was due to the yoke screw being overtightened. It was easily remidied by backing the screw out a rotation or two where it loosened right up. After finding the sweet spot I removed the screw added a little blue lock tight reinstalled it. This is a high value firearm. It's a good old service grade K frame .357 six shooter. For the price you're getting a great deal. It's a versatile well made revolver and a good bet. *Always inspect your firearms prior to accepting them! Any manufacturer can have QC issues! *The grips in the picture are MBT grips. The stock rubber grips are very good as well. Personal preference.
