Revolver is a monster....
Revolver is a monster. Had no mechanical issues with it and have shot both .44 special and heavy .44 mag loads with no issue. I carry this with me when hunting in the mountains. My only gripe is the finish. Im not a big fan of the matte finish on the gun. Seems to scratch too easy, feels a little rough, but that's just me being picky. This thing will take down what you want it too. Just make sure you dont skip arm day. Train for the recoil.

Really nice revolver....
Really nice revolver. But buyer beware, even though it has a ported barrel it still kicks like a mule with .44 Rem. Mag. Cartridges. I wish it was heavier by using a steel barrel shroud instead of aluminium to increase weapon weight and aid in taming recoil. I elect to shoot .44 Special in it making it a blast to shoot !

I purchased the Raging...
I purchased the Raging Hunter in 44 magnum w/8.375 barrel, and installed the reflex sight which Taurus sells to match it. After using a "bullet type lazer" to help get it near zero, I took it to the firing range and shot it 34 times. It took 8 shots to tune it to zero @ 25 yards. The rest of the shots were to get acclimated to the recoil, which was very manageable because of the ported barrel. The grip is very forgiving on the area at the base of the thumb and index finger. The double action is nice, but I will be using single action for my deer hunting to help maintain a great shot. The trigger is smooth, not overly tight. At 55 ounces one would immediately think it is heavy, but it actually is well balanced, IMO. I'm satisfied with the performance so far, and look forward to using it to harvest a deer or two during modern firearms season.
