Having been around...
Having been around AK's enough, I'm not just going to say "it's an Arsenal" and give it 5 stars. I can testify to the following: It's a Bulgarian AK, so the steel is good. No feed or extraction issues like you here about with some of the American AK's. Mag wobble doesn't exist with the exception of steel combloc mags, which range from perfectly tight to slight amount of wobble. No problems there. Finish is fairly standard AK finish, I personally like it and think Arsenal rifles have a pretty good finish. Trigger has some grit to it, but not bad enough to make me want to upgrade to a Tapco G2 or the new ALG product. Folding stock is fantastic. Great operation and lockup. Button to collapse is stiff as all get-up though so some work in over time definitely isn't going to hurt. At this price point I kind of feel like the pin retaining device should be something more than the paperclip, so that's a very small bummer. Grip retaining nut is nice. My only complaint about my specific example is that I received a rifle with a slightly left canted gas block and front sight. Well within the range of being able to zero without being on the extreme far side of the front sight, but at north of a grand, it's still a bit peeving. I could have returned it to Buds no problem but it really didn't seem like the kind of problem worth shipping the rifle back for. Oh well, maybe I'll pay Jim Fuller to fix it one day. Just goes to show Arsenal doesn't automatically mean it's synonymous with "perfect".

I purchased two of...
I purchased two of these AK74s from Buds, and more than a dozen other Arsenals. While not quite the quality of a milled SAM7, I have had nothing but good experiences. My 104 is superbly built, particularly by AK standards, and shoots like a dream. The trigger is not my favorite, and packaging is lackluster, but still head and shoulders above any rack grade AK I've seen, which matches what the experts say. Highly recommended. Just budget $45 for an ALG trigger and one will be in AK heaven.

Problem 1: The front...
Problem 1: The front sight post was bent and snapped off when I tried to adjust it. Problem 2: The trigger mechanism is defective: the trigger does not reset after you pull it. So after you fire a shot, you have to manually push the trigger back into place before you can fire another. Problem 3: The muzzle device is angled downward. This is caused by improper threading, so I can't just attach a new muzzle device. Bullets exiting the rifle collide with the muzzle device, causing them to fly dramatically off course. I have contact Arsenal, and they are demanding that I pay for shipping (which will be about $100). Their customer service department is exceptionally rude and curt. I paid a mint because I didn't want to go through the headache of having problems with an AK. I wish I had just bought 2 WASR-10s instead. I'll never buy another Arsenal. Because of the problems that my rifle has (which could not have occurred due to improper shipping), it is quite obvious that the rifle was never test fired.
