Great shooting...
Great shooting carbine. Used the rail kit for a light and put a red dot that cowitnesses with the sights on the top rail. Came with 2 17 rd mags. Bought a 20 rd mag. Can't find 30 round mags yet. This was a lot of fun at the range. Shot a variety of ammo.... steel cased, aluminum cased and brass cased, FMJ and hollow points. Shot all equally well with no issues. Hitting 6" steel at 75 yards with no problem. Very light carbine and entire stock is plastic. When you first pick it up it feels like it would be easy to break and a little cheap. After ~200 rds at the range, started to have more confidence in it. Wouldn't use it to break a door in but makes for a lot of fun at the range and easy to carry around.

I have been waiting a...
I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on a Beretta CX4 carbine in 9mm and boy was it worth the wait. I slapped an Aimpoint Micro red dot sight on the carbine and went to town at the range. The CX4 is accurate and reliable. I put over 200 rounds of various types of ammo both FMJ and JHP through the carbine without a single failure of any kind. I'm a lefty and a great feature of this weapon is being able to configure it to support left handed shooters. Just switch the extractor and ejector to the opposite sides of the bolt and you have a left eject carbine. The crossbolt safety and magazine release are reversible as well. The only negative I have to report is that the trigger pull is atrocious and the trigger itself as well as the hammer is made of plastic. I fixed that with a trigger/spring/hammer kit from SierraPapa in Portland, Oregon. Overall, I am very pleased with the CX4. The positives well outweigh the negatives. This gun is a real shooter.
