Browning X-Bolt Pro .280 Remington Carbon Gray Elite Cerakote Bolt Action Rifle

I have been BUDS customer for years and always get great service, communication, and fair prices. It also allows me to use my preferred FFL to expedite the process. As far as this rifle, I have owned Browning rifles for a long time. My first rifle as an adult was Browning A-Bolt Composite Stalker....sold it in moment of weakness and regretted it. Bought a Stainless Stalker in 300WM when thought might get stationed in Alaska...but didnt happen...sold it. Bought another Composite Stalker to replace my first but in A-Bolt 2 this time. Now years later here we are with me looking for an accurate, reliable, and well built rifle in 280 AI.... Options were Weatherby, Browning, and a handful of others to include Savage. Have never really warmed up to Savage even though have great reputation for accuracy...the Weatherby was solid option but in the end I went with a Browning X-Bolt in 280 AI....partly because of my previous years of experience with the brand and A-Bolts...also because they were doing 280AI in 1:8, rifle is cerakoted with cf stock....comes with what is reported as a very viable muzzle brake already installed...and the barrel length with brake is 26"....24" without brake...so not losing any of the gained velocity in the 280AI. My only wish is that the stock was a little more of the modern look with vertical palm swell like the Hells Canyon version...but otherwise had everything I wanted. I heard the trigger was a bit heavy...but tested mine and while it started higher than desired....I was able to adjust down to around 2# without modifying anything. I am not sure if I got lucky or if they made some slight changes in the spring tension over the years....but is same weight as my A-Bolt...not as light as my Bergara B14 Crest....but not far off. The bolt is smooth and have always loved the low bolt throw of 60* max.....never hits scope and makes for quick reliable follow ups. I have some different loads on order to see what she likes the most....but am very happy with both the rifle, the condition received, and the reliable Buds shipping and customer service. My GO TO for all gun purchases.
