A quick caveat to this...
A quick caveat to this review. I have probably bought 10 guns from Buds over the years and had good results with undamaged products. This one was a little different. I received the gun with maybe a dozen prominent scratches and blemishes on the barrel and action. For the most part, using Scotchbright buffed most of them out but you can still see the worst ones in the bead blast. But this gun was not treated well in storage. It may have been sitting in a warehouse long term with stuff piled on top but I have a hard time believing that anyone looked this over before shipping. They should have opened the box and did a quick inspection. So, the damage was all cosmetic and probably not fatal to functioning in any way. I didn't ship it back because frankly I didn't want the PITA - and it is a hunting gun and will get beat up in the field. I'll used Buds again but I will ask them to look over the gun before shipping next time...
