This rifle is quality...
This rifle is quality as far as the barrel, receiver, and BCG are concerned so far. The trigger bushmaster put in it was garbage and failed ( caused burst firing/light primer strikes after 100 rounds.) The barrel was improperly dimpled for the set screws and the gas block was installed canted. Also the muzzle device was secured with so much rocksett that a gunsmith with a torch and all the proprietary tools necessary almost couldnt get it off. In addition the rail does not accomodate any modern picatinny rail and after contacting Mr. Barnes at his NC based company he said they no longer make the propietary rail sections for the installed rail on this rifle and have since adopted mlok and keymod. I spent alot of money trying to unscrew this rifle. I expect better quality control from bushmaster based on their reputation. The "features" of this firearm are more of a hassle and do not add value to this rifle in my opinion. It is now a quality firearm, but in the configuration it will arrive in it is worth no more than a standard ruger AR 556 or comparable smith and wesson. I now have 1500 invested in this rifle to correct someone elses mistakes. Save your money and buy a Colt or DD.
