Product Overview
Own a piece of history with the Chiappa 1863 Sharps Carbine Percussion Conversion in .50-70 Govt. This accurate reproduction blends the look of an 1863-era Sharps cavalry carbine with a percussion-conversion design that’s made to accept the .50/70 Government black powder cartridge. Powered by a falling block single-shot action, it features a 22-inch rifled barrel, adjustable iron sights, and a pre-drilled tang for adding a diopter tang sight. The blued barrel pairs with a color casehardened receiver and an oiled walnut stock for classic period-correct style.

Solidly built rifle,...
Solidly built rifle, but it isn't as nice as the Pedersoli version. I bought this one because I can't find the Cimarron Sharps McNelly in 50-70 to match the 45-70 one I already have. Getting good groups has proven elusive with the shoddy stock sights. I'll keep at it, but the first 100-150 rounds through it after 4 months has me a bit discouraged.
