Unsurprisingly, if...
Unsurprisingly, if you've handled one of Uberti's 1866s in 38spl or 45colt, then you've handled this one. It has a smooth action and an easy-to-see rear sight. It's not exactly lightweight, but it handles excellently in cowboy actions matches. I wanted the 44spl version to try and replicate the original 44rimfire chambering of the old Yellowboys. Even at the highest recommended loads in the Lyman 50th Reloading Maual, its kick is negligible. But the barrel gets hot pretty quickly!
