A: David, unfortunately only way to know would be the serial number. Doubt buds would be able to assist because they can't look up the serial number and we're just customers as yourself not buds employees. You could purchase the firearm and when it arrives at your FFL dealer before doing any paperwork check the serial number. If it's affected by the recall refuse the transfer and your FFL dealer will ship it back to buds no charge to you and you will be refunded. Once you transfer the firearm into your name it's officially yours and cannot be returned. According to cz it sounds like the issue is from people changing barrels and not properly installing them. Cz remedies this by permanently attaching the barrel so you can't switch barrels/calibers. I'd contact cz and ask if you don't plan on changing the barrel if it's safe to shoot since the barrel was factory installed shouldn't have any issue but again I'd contact cz for a definite answer at 1-800-955-4486 extension 4701.
