CZ 600 Range .223 Remington Blued Bolt Action Rifle

This is an awesome rifle! Mine is in 223 Rem. It has a half a dozen excellent features not found on a rifle at this price point or others I've never experienced before. The through the wrist/action safety on off switch, the adjustable trigger pull setting, and my absolute favorite, the cartridge ejection system. You can eject your cartridges forcefully, or my favorite just enough to let it trickle out of the action and fall on the bench right below the bolt head! No more searching for brass all over the ground. The 1 in 9 twist rate does have its limitations. For my rifle the sweet spot is between 50 and 55 grain bullets. 62 grain bullets are fair/1 inch or so. And 68/69 grain bullets not so good, 1 1/2 to 2 inch groups. I have shot several one hole four shot groups at 100 yards with 52 grain Sierra MK-HPBT bullets. One minor drawback, particularly with the 223 rem version, is it is what CZ calls a "mini" action. It is shorter than what we know as a short action rifle chambered in 223 Remington. They say it is set up for Remington 700 mounting specs. But that does not mean for a short action as we know it. The hole spacing on the receiver is shorter than what we would normally encounter when we buy a Picatinny rail suitable for mounting on a Remington 700 type short action. So if you want a Picatinny rail, you have to buy the "mini" one from CZ. I ended up having to order it from Czechoslovakia. But it was fairly quick. I got it within about seven business days. And it mounts just fine. The way I have my rifle set up with the scope, and the bipod, the overall rig weighs about 11 pounds.
