I've owned this rifle...
I've owned this rifle for several years now. So far, the reliability is flawless and accuracy very good for a semi-auto rifle. Other than adding a Vortex scope, I've not changed or modified anything and the rifle has been performing very well. I also have the G2 Recon 308 which has been very reliable and accurate as well. In my opinion and based on my experience, DPMS G2 rifles are very good and very well priced.

Ordered and delivered...
Ordered and delivered with in a week. First impressions I was very impressed with the quality. This thing is beefy but you can feel every penny you spent. Ran 200 rounds through the rifle so far and haven't had a single feed or jamming issue with stock 20 round mag. Cheap to expensive ammo, this thing eats it all. Without a difference in accuracy at 100 meters on cheap optics. I am eager to try out a 50 round mag with a decent set of optics. I would highly recommend adding this .308 to your collection.

Pretty awful rifle. No...
Pretty awful rifle. No problems with the transaction thanks to Buds. Initially I had problems with the fact that it is way over gassed (apparently a common observation). It ejects VERY hard, as in denting brass on the shell deflector. Also, to run it suppressed, you have to put on an adjustable gas block (per DPMS customer support). The trigger was not very good. Better than a stock AR trigger, but still had some creep and worst of all, repeatedly got stuck on reset. That made the rifle not fire reliably. Accuracy with Federal GMM 168 and 175gr ammo was okay, around 1 MOA but was definitely not a sub-MOA rifle. Then, with about 250 rounds through it, I had an out of battery discharge which blew out the bottom of the magazine, showered my suppressor with brass fragments, and permanently damaged the upper receiver. I informed DPMS and they asked me to send it in. Three months later they were not responding to my emails or phone calls. I filed a better business bureau complaint and finally a lawyer from Remington contacted me. He said I could pay $600 to have it repaired, but I would also need to sign a waiver saying I wouldn't sue them, that I would never tell anyone about this, and that I would never "disparage" Remington in any way. I refused to sign a waiver, and they finally agreed to just send back my broken rifle. So in short, mediocre accuracy, unreliable, requires modification just to function correctly, and suffered a catastrophic failure while still basically a new rifle. Then treated terribly by customer service.
