Phenominal gun. With the magazine in the pistol grip its not only protected but gives it almost the bullpup configuration. It has the longer barrel weight but its balanced with weight distributed. It is absolutley solid. I had doubts about that before buying because Buds doesnt give the in depth info I need. It has a stronger feeling than my M-4. I put a Simmons .44 mag scope on with w quick detach angled double rings , got it close to dialed in with laser then 3 rounds later it was deadly, hit 3 beer cans center mass at 100m , havent has a single flyer with this yet. It is a cross between a beautiful and mean looking weapon. Gonna have to figure out how to carry this thing because there isnt anything to attatch a sling to. I have no problem going old school Marine Corps and wrap a loop around the stock. One other thing about this rifle is the recoil is non existant , the bolt and spring have a match grade quality feel to them out of the box. The saftey and bolt catch are perfect where they are and how they operate. The one single minor problem I had with this rifle was with the magazine , the spring is stiff and makes it difficult to load but I guess thats why they give ya a tool with the mags, maybe it needs the strong spring. The other issue was the magazine release on the handle , it does what it is suppose to do but it needs to be smacked in the handle with attitude or it doesnt catch. Like I said those are minor issues and it is a fantastic gun at a really good price. Great job EXCEL ARMS on making a great gun , I will be watching you from this point on.
