The rifle arrived in...

The rifle arrived in great condition and in a very timely manner.. However the Kryptek finish was a bit disappointing. It was extremely "light" in some areas. Barely visible on the stock!\\r\ The scope included in the package and it's ring mounts were poorly installed with the vertical crosshair at nearly a 45 degree angle. The mounts were barely attatched!\\r\ I was forced to remove the bases and rings and re-mount and boresight the scope to the rifle.\\r\ Once the scope was properly mounted and boresighted, I took the rifle to the range for live fire testing. \\r\ Once the scope was dialed in... I fired cartridges loaded with 3 different powders through the rifle with 55gr Speer flat based soft point bullets, Lapua full length resized brass and CCI 450 primers.\\r\ All three loads fired into less than an inch at 100 yards with 2 loads printing groups of 5 shots covered by a dime!\\r\ I can't say enough good things about the 1500's accuracy. Well under an inch with 3 different powers, and without tinkering with overall cartridge lenth or neck sizing !\\r\ That is truly a testament to Howa quality! \\r\ I am confident accuracy can be further improved by a little hand load tweeking and bullet weight experimenting!\\r\ The quality of the rifle is excellent, but whoever applied the finish and "mounted and bore sighted " the provided scope needs a few lessons!\\r\ Such superior firearm deserves better quality control!
