The LMT Defense LM8MWS is a .308 Winchester / 7.62x51mm NATO semi-automatic AR-308 style rifle built around LMT’s Monolithic Rail Platform (MRP). It pairs a lightweight aluminum MRP upper with a quick-change barrel system architecture and an aluminum 308 Defender lower, delivering a rigid, accessory-ready mounting interface for optics and other mission equipment. This configuration includes a 16 in chrome-lined H-BAR barrel with a 1:10 twist, direct impingement gas operation, a two-stage trigger, and a collapsible SOPMOD 6-position stock.

One of the finest .308...
One of the finest .308 ar-10s on the market today. LMT's quality is second to none and craftsmanship is superb. I bought this gun to do long range shooting and so far it hasn't disappointed. The first shots I made were at distances of 100, 200, 300 and 400. This weekend I will start at 500 yards and hope to get out to 800 yards using steel targets splatter overlays. I own a cattle ranch with potential distances of over 2000 yards. Thank you Buds for the great price and service.
