I hadn't bought a new...
I hadn't bought a new Marlin since 2000, an 1894 Cowboy that wouldn't feed. Marlin sent me a new rifle that was perfect, even feeling like it had an action job. Recently, I bought an XS7C in 7mm-08from Buds. It looked pretty good except for a couple of small scratches on the barrel and more seriously a buggered-up bolt shroud. I called Marlin about the bolt and was told to ship it to Kentucky. When I asked about a shipping label, they said it was my responsibility. Good news is that the repair shop sent me a new, undamaged bolt overnight after they received the damaged bolt. The shipping was only $8, but it's annoying that they sold me a bad part and then put part of the replacement cost on me. I'm anxious to see how it shoots

This Marlin rifle is a jewel. I own 3 of these now & they are all shooters. (2 differerent calibers) Very accurate, extra smooth bolt, great trigger. People at the shooting range continue to be amazed at the accuracy of these great little rifles. Extremely good value.
