The rifle is a .338...
The rifle is a .338 Lapua Mag and is a pretty easy gun to shoot in spite of the large caliber. I guess the efficient muzzle.brake and the weight of the rifle (approx. 18lbs. with scope and bipod) mitigates the recoil very well. The rifle seems to be well made and lots of innovative features which I never had 27 years ago when I quit shooting, so I'm not really qualified to talk about these innovations. The only thing I would like to see is a change to the cheekpiece to allow it to be removed when cleaning the bore (the cleaning rod scrapes the foam covering on the cheekpiece even in the lowest position). I haven't had the chance to fire more than 60 rounds, including break-in and my 100 yard groups have been between 1 to 1.5 moa with a starting load for the 250 SMK.\r \r \r \r \r \r \r \r \r
