Build: Very robust....
Build: Very robust. Even plastic trigger housing feels durable. Rifle is heavy at apx 8-9lbs, however it is very well balanced. High quality overall. Only complaint is the charging of the rifle can be very still if the lever is not pulled back straight. If it cants up or down slightly the friction will make it stick, just takes getting used to but, expect it to occur. \\r\ ,\\r\ Accuracy: Im a lousy shot with irons. I can manage a 6" group at 50 yards off-hand. The rifle is more accurate than I am able to be currently. Optics to be mounted soon! Note I am also using the cheapest brass cased surplus ammo I can find. \\r\ \\r\ Reliability: It ate all the surplus ammo I put into it. Even during my break in period I had no jambs or failure to feed. Slings brass very well. Rifle heats up quickly during rapid shooting, but nothing that isnt manageable. I have zero concern with any external parts being susceptible to breaking off. The take down for cleaning is a cake walk, few parts and not much to lose. \\r\ \\r\ Pros: Durable, Dirt cheap magazines, High quality build, function is reliable, you get to do an HK slap, HAS A PADDLE MAG RELEASE, recoil is a baby, sling mounts will never break. What little plastic is there is very thick and of no concern with endurance. You wont regret purchasing one. Cheek hold is perfect for irons (if planning to mount optics, consider low profile mounting options or else youll be doing a chin hold or need a riser on the stock). Metal finish holds up well. Pistol grip handle size is perfect for myself (medium size hands guy) there is an extra .5 in off the bottom of my grip for those with larger hands. Selector switch/lever is very positive (is plastic) but clicks in place very audible and definitely. Disassembly is simple and quick. You can get the bolt face in hand in 5 seconds if youre trying. Trigger pull has alot of take up, but once it hits the wall, apply pressure and its a clean break. I can only feel the "stages" others complain about if im pulling unrealistically slow and paying more attention to it than would actually happen when using the rifle. \\r\ \\r\ Cons: Weight (but is balanced), charging handle is inconveniently located, magazine button release is too far to reach while maintaining firing grip, rapid barrel heating, rear sights require separate purchase of a tool to adjust your zeroing. Get a long sling if planning to attach one (mounting points are at the front sight and stock, rather far distance in real life). No easy way to mount optics (just search HK parts website for options). Sort of a pro and con, you will get a work out handling this rifle for hours shooting, the weight becomes noticeable when aiming. Heavy trigger pull. Parts interchangeable with HK surplus parts, to my knowledge. \\r\ \\r\ Warnings: My specific rifle did NOT come with a bullet button (I dont live in Cali., thankfully). Buds acknowledged the problem and offered to help resolve, but for me its not necessary, but an FYI nonetheless. Does include the weird pistol grip fin (but it is removeable). \\r\ \\r\ Most importantly you will have a great time shooting it so be prepared to crack a smile after the first shots.\\r\ \\r\ \\r\ \\r\

This is a great gun...
This is a great gun for the money. Expect to run about 200 rounds for a break-in. This thing will feed rounds that all other guns will not including dented cases, bent bullets, you name it. If you're looking at this gun you've likely watched all the Youtube videos and read other reviews. Tons of surplus mags can be found for very cheap. By far the most robust 308 I have, no gas system to foul, super simple to strip and clean. You will not be disappointed. If you live in CA like me, get one of these before 12/31/16. As always, very happy with Bud's service. Gun arrived in perfect shape to my FFL with plenty of tracking updates along the way.
