This is my first...
This is my first purchase of a firearm online. I have always been a hands on kind of guy, especially with pistols since I am finicky. Hands on is great, but with all the new guns out there being able to read reviews is invaluable. I picked this thing up just 4 days after ordering.Luckily, Radical packed the rifle nicely, and there was no obvious damage. It passed my inspection (infantry trained). * The lower is "high shelf" so that expensive DIAS you bought wont work, so much for having a cooker for the range eh? Have to warm our soup a different way I guess. * The gas key was tight, and properly staked. The BCG is surprisingly well machined at this price point. It is not however chrome lined. Shipped dry as a bone, but then the army taught me to use Breakfree by the gallon, lol. No seriously I use a garden sprayer. * No t-Marks, but at this price point I wasn't expecting any. The rail is properly aligned with the top of the upper, Almost seamless. The upper does have some slop, but I have seen 1000 dollar AR's that did too (looking at you Colt). I will fix that with the hot glue mod. It will annoy me. * The included STANAG magazine is very glossy black. Its a clone of a 30rnd E-Lander, and its made of steel just like the real one, but the markings are in the wrong place. E-Landers come with a "marine coating", read paint. The follower seems to be a clone as well, and does not tilt run or snag. It has corrosion in several places under the paint er "marine coating." I hate glossy. The spring is standard, and looks good. The inside of the magazine also has paint er "marine coating." The bottom plate however does not have paint, it's parked. It works ok, but it will end up in the box of misfit mags. * The stock and grip are B5. To be honest by simply looking at the photos I thought I would hate the grip, but I don't. The angle looks weird, but works. It's stippled nicely for her pleasure, and will give you a good grip. The stock has positive lockup which I like, and also has a built in holder for your M4 Multi-Tasker Tool Bud's item number 156439 (also by B5), its nice to have it handy at the range. It has the obligatory QD sling mount on both sides, and my Magpul MS4 fits perfectly, I don't use single point slings since I admire my twig and berries. I am astonished that as budget as this rifle is I don't feel the need to get rid of either the stock or the grip. * The railed handguard has no sharp edges, I know because I stroked it repeatedly trying to get the snot cut out of me. What I do for you people. Anyway, it has no movement, and has anti tilt nibs on both sides (for whatever that's worth). It does NOT have the top screw which I like for positive hold, but it is holding nicely. * The sights are horrible, in fact I cant even see them. Oh yea, there aren't any. Yes, I have some in the box of misfit sights, but I'm cheap. This rifle seems to like PMC 55grn, break in the barrel correctly and sub moa groups are possible with a good scope. With a Leoplode and a bipod I was getting around 1 to 1-1/5 moa. There's a guy on YT that shot a 3/4 group at 100 yards with this type rifle, he was using Herters, and was very proud of his achievement. Maybe we will meet up at the range sometime, just follow the drops of Breakfree.

This is a very...
This is a very reliable rifle. I was looking for an entry level rifle to abuse with rapid fire training. The MHR hand guard is larger in diameter and with the addition of a heat wrap, mitigates heat well enough that I don't need gloves while firing at fast rates. Binary triggers are legal in my state, thank God, and they will literally smoke a barrel. Bud's has so many versions of this rifle in stock, including the smaller diameter RPR hand guard. There's bound to be something for everyone available. Keep up the great offerings, Bud's. Not everyone wants to constantly smoke their $1500.00 - $2000.00 rifles. This one serves the purpose and has been tough as nails through 3,000 rounds.
