Topped this beauty...
Topped this beauty with a Vortex. Haven't had the opportunity to really reach out past 300 yrds with it yet but so far is real accurate. When I first bought it, couldn't sight it in due to a mis-drilled scope mount straight from the factory. Appears there was a manufacturing error but Remington took care of it when I sent it in by replacing the receiver with the holes properly drilled. It's been a tack drive out to 300 and I really want to try the 600. Only wished it had a threaded barrel. Even with the mounting issues, I give it 5 stars. Shoots so smooth.

Splendid and accurate...
Splendid and accurate rifle purchased from Bud's back in 2013. Still works and looks like new. It now has a laminated thumbhole stock with a built aluminum bedding block plus a 5 ounce Timney trigger with no safety. Most of you will probably just keep the X Mark Pro trigger which is fine for hunting. Groups below 3/4" with most loads are always easy to get. I've shot several at 100 yards that were just one hole and measured below .3"ctc with good light handloads. If you want an accurate, simple American stainless .308 bolt that you can walk with, this is a great choice. Thanks, Bud's!

The rifle looks good....
The rifle looks good. I did a little trigger work on the factory trigger, and it works quite well. The Stock was not so great, so I replaced it with an H&S. After load development, the rifle shoots Sub MOA. I'm pleased with rifle. It' my go-to rifle for 200 to 1000 yards target shooting. And yes, I have pegged a can of beer at 1,000 yards, using NCC 168's. After 1,000 rounds down the pipe, still functions perfect.
