A: The issue was with the feed angle of some magazines. Ruger sent a ton of replacement magazines out due to feeding issues. If you have or get this rifle, be sure and get recent manufactured magazines from Ruger as New/Old stock magazines already in circulation will be a 50/50 in reliability.

A: The description says " The receiver is drilled and tapped, and scope bases and sling swivel studs are included." So you are correct. You need scope rings with weaver mounts.
