A: not really any more accurate. it will work better from a rest as the stock and forearm are shaped better for use with sand bags many people with good scopes are getting sub 1/2 inch groups with all the ruger American rimfire rifles (with ammo the gun likes) at 50 yards

A: Gary, with the heavy target barrel, you will have less barrel harmonics than the standard which will translate into better inherent accuracy. The shooter is a big part of the equation, as well as rifle and ammunition. Not so much if you are Bob Lee Swagger. Cheers!
