It is hard to go wrong when buying a Ruger long gun based on their m77 action. When hunting dangerous game I controlled feed action is what I desire and this Hawkeye m77 does not disappoint.

I've been using the Ruger .308 (specifically the Hawkeye Hunter) for the past month, and it's become one of my go-to rifles for range shooting. Out of the box, it offers great accuracy. With a decent scope, good groupings at 100 yards are very doable, even for a weekend shooter like me.

Shoots Federal Fusion...
Shoots Federal Fusion 150gr & Federal SMK 168gr well (MOA and lower consistently). Trigger on my rifle was not good, put a MCarbo ($12) spring in it and it made it a lot better. A SilencerCo Harvester & a Burris Full-field E1 4.5-14x42 Scope live on this rifle and I've been happy with this lightweight, attractive combo! Highly recommended.
