Ruger is a premier...
Ruger is a premier American gun maker, make no mistake. This rifle is an example of their engineering and craftmanship with long guns. I chose this model out of preference for this style of stock and was delighted with the fit, feel and workmanship that Ruger put into it. The trigger came set at about 2 lbs which is good enough for my purposes. A Nikon 4-12x40 scope went up top and soon it'll go to the range for sighting it. Dollar for dollar it's better out-of-the-box than some other domestic offerings. I'm proud to own it.

Trigger is awesome!...
Trigger is awesome! Consistent trigger pull. Once you take up the initial slack the trigger is one of the best production triggers I've ever felt. The SS finish is superb. Took a few hours sitting in front of the TV working the bolt to smooth it out which is consistent with all the rifles I've ever bought new. The laminate stock has a great pattern and excellent smooth finish. Out of the box shot .6" groups with a 7x scope and cheap ammo at 100 yards. I would buy this gun again.
