Ahhh, the Steyr Scout....
Ahhh, the Steyr Scout. To be honest I picked this up as kind of a collector gun due to it's uniqueness. Over the years I had seen this in magazines etc. and the price point was just a little high for my taste, but over time they have come down to a more reasonable level. I settled on the 5.56 as I just have more ammo due to my AR's in that caliber. That being said I love the concept of the one gun and it's just overall functionality. Hindsight being what it is I probably should have just gone with the 7.62 but this has it's place. Spare magazine kept in the stock, forward or rearward options for mounting optics, integral flip up sights if needed, multiple sling attachment points, threaded barrel, and integrated bipod. Also, it is a noticeably very well made rifle and extremely accurate to boot. Don't really have any cons on this one. It's just a great rifle with multiple applications.
