A: Most of these lever gun designs are a toggle lock mechanism, which is inherently not the strongest. You COULD pound it with heavy loads, but it would deteriorate the locking mechanism at a greater rate. If you shoot lighter loads for plinking, then the occasional anvil down the barrel, it'll be just fine.
